-劇情簡介-

本片改編自克里斯凡艾斯柏格的童書《北極特快車》，故事開始是這樣...

在某個下雪的聖誕夜裡，有個小男孩躺在床上，興奮得睡不著覺。週遭的聲音出奇地寂靜，在聖誕夜裡幾乎毫無動靜，一直等待著。他在傾聽一個聲音，也就是他擔心自己可能永遠聽不到的聲音──聖誕老公公雪橇上響亮的鈴聲。

再過五分鐘就到午夜十二點了。剎那間，這個小男孩被轟隆巨響給嚇到了，他把窗戶玻璃上的霧氣抹乾淨，看到了最不可思議的景象──閃爍著亮光的黑色列車，就停在他家門口，巨大引擎冒出來的蒸氣，在夜空中發出了嘶嘶聲，而四周盡是紛落的雪花。

小男孩衝出門外，身上只穿著睡衣和拖鞋，列車長似乎正在等著他。這個心存疑慮的小男孩，搭乘著非比尋常的列車來到了北極，展開一段發現自我的冒險之旅，證明了只要信念堅定，生命的奇蹟就永遠不會消失，而他也如願以償聽到世界上最美妙的銀鈴聲~~

列車長說：“你要不要上車？”
“去哪裡？”
“這不是廢話嗎？當然是去北極啊！這是北極特快車耶！”

其實最重要的不是管這部車去那裡，更重要的是你相信必且上了這部火車。( On thing about the train: It doesn't matter where they're going, what matter is deciding to get on)。用來形容生活的態度也是非常貼切的一句話。

兩個小孩用著美妙的歌聲來表達對聖誕的期待與失望，很好聽的一首歌....

長大之後，因為生活的磨練還有成長隨之而來的壓力，我們漸漸地不再保有單純的夢想，童心也離我們越來越遠。就像小男孩的同伴們，長大之後不再相信有聖誕老人，銀鈴也就不再為他們而響，只有小男孩，因為他從未放棄心中的信念，所以一直到了老年都還還是能聽見銀鈴的美妙聲音。《北極特快車》透過小男孩在聖誕夜的奇遇，闡述相信的力量。只要堅信夢想，生命就有可能出現奇蹟，屬於你的銀鈴聲就會永遠為你而響。就像劇中Tom Hanks 陳述著：At one time, most of my friends can hear the bell. But as years passed, it fell silent for of them. Though I've grown old, the bell still rings for me. as it does for all truly elieve.

越接近聖誕，心中就越來越有聖誕味道。即使小時候沒有聽過這些西方傳來的聖誕故事，爸媽也沒有假裝聖誕老人將禮物放在聖誕襪內，現在長大我也知道只是一些童話故事的流傳。但是，我還是相信。我還是期待聖誕的到來。即使在台灣並沒有濃濃的氣氛，但是我知道心中相信就會快樂也就能夠感受，或許我可以聽見也說不定。
